Online Resources

All of the resources listed below are free to patrons with Ayer Library cards. For most sites, you will be asked to enter your library card number (14 digits, no spaces). This may be called a "user name," "barcode," or "log-in ID."*

*If you are asked to enter a password or PIN, use the same one you use for your library account. If you do not yet have a password for your library account, just give us a call at 978-772-8250 and we'll take care of it right away!




Genealogy: Ancestry Library Edition
Research your family history through census, land, military, and birth records. There are billions of records and documents at your disposal. This database is accessible through Ayer Library computers only.



Magazines: Zinio
More than 50 titles - all formatted to be read on computer screen or any hand-held device. Titles include Better Homes and Gardens, Cosmo, Esquire, Newsweek, and Popular Science.
 
 


Movies: InstantFlix

Unlimited access to thousands of films! Shorts, feature films and documentaries from more than 50 countries.




Books: OverDrive Advantage

Enjoy thousands of popular and best-selling eBooks from your local library. We add new titles every month.

 
Music: Freegal
Freegal offers access to about 9 million songs, including Sony Music’s catalog of legendary artists, and over 15,000 music videos. In total the collection is comprised of music from over 28,000 labels with music that originates from over 100 countries. 
 




Cars: Auto Mate
contains do-it-yourself repair and maintenance information on most major manufacturers of domestic and imported vehicles. 







Consumer Reports Online 
Get access to expert and unbiased ratings of over 5,000 products, plus expert buying advice, product                     
                                                                                       comparisons, and user reviews.



Books: NoveList
Database devoted to book recommendations based on interest, subject, title, author and reading level.
