Game online, browse the Internet, or knock out that homework assignment on two Alienware Aurora R15s and two Acer Predators.

Check out controllers and pick from a selection of in-house games to play our PlayStation 5 on your next Teen Room visit.
Nintendo Switch
Borrow our in-house Nintendo Switch while you’re visiting the Library—or hook it up to the TV to play on-screen.
VOLUNTEER
We offer rewarding volunteer experiences to teens in grades 9-12 who live in Ayer or Shirley during four-month fall (September-December), spring (January-April), or summer (May-August) semesters.
Collection
Volunteer
(2 positions available per semester)
Our Collection Volunteers primarily help with get circulating materials where they need to be. Scheduling is fairly flexible for this position. Tasks include shelving materials, making sure materials on shelves are in order, tidying shelves, processing and stickering materials, and other clerical tasks.
Story Studio
Volunteer
(1 position available per semester)
Our Story Studio Volunteer assists Youth Services staff on Tuesday afternoons from 3-6 to help with our weekly Story Studio program. Tasks include preparing supplies, selecting and reading picture books, assisting staff, helping children participate, and cleaning up after Story Studio.
Summer Reading Volunteer
(1 position available each summer)
Our Summer Reading Support Volunteer assists Youth Services staff with Summer Reading events and activities. Scheduling is based around our events calendar. Tasks include preparing supplies, assisting staff, helping children participate, and cleaning up after programs and activities
