3D Printing Now Available

Our new Prusa CORE One 3D Printer

Ayer Library now offers limited free 3D printing via a Prusa Core One 3D printer thanks to the Friends of the Ayer Library. We are thrilled to expand our offerings with this highly requested service—and to do so in a way that provides equitable access to technology for all patrons.

To help sustain free programs and services like this, please consider joining or donating to the Friends.

Patrons can request print jobs by visiting our 3D Print Request Form. To be able to offer free printing equitably, we have adopted restrictions outlined throughout the form.

General guidelines are:

  • Prints are limited to two requests per calendar month.

  • Prints are limited to a maximum print time of 8 hours.

  • Only single-color prints are provided.

  • We will only print PLA filament.

  • Patrons can submit print files by sending URLs of models through the form below. Websites where you can find 3D models include https://makerworld.com/ and https://www.printables.com/.

  • Patrons who have created their own designs must email their stl or 3mf file to ayerlibrary@cwmars.org since this form does not allow uploads.

  • Printing may take up to two weeks to complete. Staff will contact you once the print is ready.

  • Ayer Library reserves the right to deny any print requests. We will not print any design that resembles a weapon or one that could cause harm.

Email ayerlibrary@cwmars.org with any additional questions.
